Description
While exploring the Maroon Bells during Sunrise, we came across quite a few aspen trees, and I took this photograph of the morning sunlight lighting them and the dew on them, up. Did you know that the reason Aspen leaves “rattle” when the wind blows on them instead of “rustling” like most other trees, is because their stems are flat? It was just a cool fact I read on one of the many signs throughout Colorado that helps to explain the beauty surrounding you on your journey. Pretty neat huh?
